We promote Greatjob across the local community, and our search finds you even for services we don't list. But you're never limited to us. Share your own booking link wherever your customers are: WeChat groups, Facebook, your school community, a card on the noticeboard. Every customer who books through your link gets the same easy booking and payment.

Bookings and availability

Job requests arrive by text. Reply Y to accept or suggest a better time. Set yourself as always available, choose the days and times you work, or pause, including one tap to pause everything when you go on holiday. Customers can message you, or meet you first, before they book.

Quoting your way

Charge by the hour with a 1-hour minimum, then pro rata after that. Or offer fixed-price jobs, like an End of Lease Clean, with your own terms attached. Customers can include photos with their request so you know what you're quoting for.

Deposits

Ask for a security deposit before the job. It's held securely by Stripe, not by you or Greatjob, and you never see the customer's card details.

Invoicing

When you finish, your invoice is created and sent for you. Add supplies and expenses as line items, and your GST setting is applied automatically.

Getting paid

Customers pay by card through Greatjob after reviewing the final bill. No cash, no chasing, no awkward conversations. Your earnings usually reach your bank account the next day.

About two minutes to register. Then finish your profile with a friendly photo, a few lines about yourself and your availability. A complete profile is what gets you chosen.

Not to start. An ABN is only required at Professional level. Start at Entry or Intermediate level and upgrade as your business grows. Whether you need one for tax purposes is an ATO question; our Starting your own business guide explains how it works.

Nothing to join. You set your own rate, from $18 to $350 an hour, and that's exactly what you're paid. Nothing is deducted.

When you finish a job, the customer receives the invoice and pays by card through Greatjob. Your earnings are usually in your bank account the next day, though occasionally it can take a little longer. No invoices to write, no cash, no chasing.

Yes. Charge hourly, offer fixed-price jobs, or both. Name your fixed-price jobs (for example "End of Lease Clean"), attach your own terms, and send a quote when a customer asks.

Absolutely. Type your service in the 'Enter your service below' field when you sign up, whether you're a photographer, piano teacher or mobile massage therapist. Customers will find you through search.

Tell us whether your rate includes GST and your invoices will show it correctly. Greatjob doesn't collect or lodge GST for you. If you're unsure about your obligations, a registered tax agent or the ATO can help.

Pause your profile any time, or pause everything at once when you go on holiday. You won't get job requests until you switch back on.
